Seattle Dessert Delivery for When Cravings Hit

person holding stack of cookies from Seattle dessert delivery

The surge of Seattle dessert delivery is one of the silver linings from the pandemic. What was once reserved only for visits to the bakery or fancy restaurants can now be enjoyed from the comfort of your couch in your pajamas.

A lot of the desserts available for delivery in Seattle are baked by people who were laid off from the restaurant industry during the pandemic and thrust into the world of entrepreneurship to make ends meet. I’m in awe of their resilience and hope the pandemic was the unfortunate push that helped them break out on their own.

To help you find Seattle dessert delivery when that craving hits, here is an exhaustive list of where you can get cookies, pies, cakes, ice cream, and pastries delivered. There’s even a section for gluten-free and vegan options!

Lowrider Cookie Co.

website | delivery radius: nationwide | best for: seasonally-rotating cookies

I remember visiting Lowrider Cookie Co. when they were in a tiny vintage trailer at the Georgetown Trailer Mall, one of the best gift shops in Seattle. Owner Emily Allport started selling her soft cookies around Seattle farmers markets and popups, but now has two retail locations in the Central District and Georgetown (the latter of which you can discover while on my Georgetown self-guided food tour). She now delivers her rotating collection of cookie flavors through third-party apps like Grubhub.

Incredibars

website | delivery radius: nationwide | best for: cookie bars

Incredibars is a newer woman-owned business based in Snohomish. As the name implies, they specialize in cookie bars that add a creative twist to everyone’s favorite nostalgic treat.

Their Original flavor has a chocolate chip cookie base and is topped with coconut flakes, chocolate chips, and pecans. It’s admirable how they’re able to get a softer cookie consistency to stay in bar format. I also love how the chocolate quality and chip size give their bars a really pronounced chocolate flavor that stands up to the coconut. You’ll be hard pressed not to eat the whole box in one sitting!

Treat Cookies

website | delivery radius: nationwide | best for: large, super soft cookies

Treat Cookies is run by a mother-daughter duo. The interiors are absolutely stunning, but lucky for you, they ship nationwide so you never need to step foot inside.

Their cookie are large and especially soft. All of them have names, like the awesome “Tessa” sumac snickerdoodle and “Whitney” African-spiced molasses cookies. If you’re sending them as a gift, it’d be the pro move to get them cookies that match their name, if applicable.

Bell’s Cookie Co.

website | delivery radius: nationwide | best for: Classic cookies and cookie dough

Customers kept asking for one item from Brooke’s catering company menu: her cookies. She realized people loved her recipes for nostalgic cookie flavors like chocolate chip, so she decided to spin off a company named after her daughter. Now you can get her cookies and raw cookie dough delivered anywhere in the US.

I thoroughly enjoy the texture of Bell’s Cookies because they’re soft and chewy instead of crumbly. Flavor wise I like the chocolate chip, chocolate monster, and s’mores flavors, but my favorite is probably the Bell’s cookie with toffee, pecan, chocolate, and potato chips. Don’t worry, you can’t really tell the potato chips are in there. This concoction of ingredients simply makes a chocolate-chip-like cookie, but a bit sweeter, chewier, and softer.

Pinckney Cookie Cafe

website | delivery radius: nationwide | best for: cookies, including vegan and gluten free

This Black-owned restaurant out of Kirkland was started by Michael, who became obsessed with developing the perfect chocolate chip cookies. When he realized that it’s difficult fo find a great cookie at 11 pm in most cities, he set out to make cookies that can last in the fridge or freezer for anytime the sweet tooth craving hits.

Midnight Cookie Co.

website | delivery radius: Seattle | best for: late-night cookie delivery

This is the place to go if you need cookies stat. The deliver both traditional and seasonal cookies within the hour with third-party apps like Uber Eats.

Sugar + Spoon

website | delivery radius: nationwide | best for: cookie dough

I remember seeing Sugar + Spoon’s bright pink and blue-colored food truck in the background of pictures featuring their huge cones filled with cookie dough and colorful toppings. Their Insta-worthy branding thrusted them into the spotlight, but their damn good edible cookie dough keeps them there.

Hello Robin

website | delivery radius: Seattle | best for: s’more cookies

You haven’t lived until you’ve tried Hello Robin’s Mackels’more cookie. It’s a chewy chocolate chunk cookie topped with brûléed marshmallow and a graham cracker piece. Whenever my office brought a box of her cookies in, these were the first to go. I’m thankful they offer Seattle dessert delivery now through third-party apps like Postmates.

Street Treats

website | delivery radius: greater Seattle area | best for: ice cream cookie sandwiches

Founder Diane purchases the original Seattle dessert food truck back in 2010. While she sells ice cream and a few other baked treats, the must get here are the ice cream cookie sandwiches. They make all their ice cream and cookies from scratch, and even sell them in mini bites!

Lady Yum

website | delivery radius: nationwide | best for: macarons

Lady Wagstaff fell in love with baking to fight the boredom of living in rural Alaska. She eventually moved to civilization to work in the corporate world, where she was quite successful. However, she realized she was coaching college kids to follow their passions, but wasn’t following her own advice.

So she took a leap and created Lady Yum, which I’d say is successful given she has multiple locations around the greater Seattle area. The storefronts are full of Parisian whimsy, which you can also feel in the colorful macarons that are individually packed into clear containers.

Alexandra’s Macarons

website | delivery radius: Seattle | best for: macarons

I used to live in the same building as Alexandra and would always smile when I saw Gertrude, her hot pink 1773 Volkswagen Bus, barely fitting in its parking spot under our car port.

She started selling her macarons in 2013 out of this bus, but has since opened a location in the Central District. I’m not the biggest macaron fan, but love how hers are chewier and larger than most I’ve had.

Fun fact: I also read she’s making some of the best bagels in Seattle.

Cake and cupcake delivery

Trophy Cupcakes

website | delivery radius: Seattle/Bellevue | best for: moist cupcakes

Trophy is my go-to cupcake spot in Seattle. I find their cakes the moistest and the buttercream not too hard. When I worked in University Village a lifetime ago, I came here more than I’d like to admit.

Hot Cakes

website | delivery radius: nationwide | best for: molten chocolate cake

Hot Cakes has a cult following, so much in fact that they started shipping their molten cakes nationally before the pandemic. They are irresistibly chocolatey on the inside and can be prepared easily in the microwave.

Cupcake Royale

website | delivery radius: Seattle, Mercer Island, and Bellevue | best for: cupcakes

Cupcake Royale is brand that started the cupcake craze in Seattle. They ship products and cupcake mixes nationwide, but you can get Seattle cupcake delivery. While I personally prefer Trophy cupcakes to Cupcake Royale, I love how Cupcake Royale has mini cupcakes that let you try a bunch of flavors instead of just one.

Pie delivery

Pie Bar

website | delivery radius: Seattle | best for: sweet and savory pies

Pie Bar in Ballard is my go-to pie spot. They’re a dessert bar serving both pies and alcoholic beverages.

I have yet to try their savory pies, but their fruit pies are divine. They make the best crust out of the pie companies I’ve tried in Seattle and now offers Seattle dessert delivery through Uber Eats. my go-to is the apple crumble and bramble berry crumble.

Baked from the Hart

website | delivery radius: South Seattle | best for: mini pies

Baked from the Hart is a Black-owned dessert shop right on the edge of Mt. Baker and North Beacon Hill. Owner Bill Hart makes great full-sized and mini pies. My favorite is the sweet potato!

Doughnut delivery

Mighty-O Donuts

website | delivery radius: Seattle | best for: mini doughnuts

Mighty-O’s has been open since I moved to Seattle back in 2009. They got their start serving doughnuts at farmers markets, where they were one of the first doughnut companies in the area to really lean in to using organic ingredients. They specialize in cake doughnuts, but you can also find a few yeasty varieties on the menu. The best part? They serve mini doughnuts a-la Munchkins but way better.

Top Pot Donuts

website | delivery radius: Seattle | best for: doughnuts

Top Pot is arguably the most popular doughnut shop in Seattle. They have a rather large menu of both cake and yeast doughnuts you can get delivered via Doordash.

Pastry delivery

Salmonberry

website | delivery radius: Seattle | best for: pastries with a side of farm goods

Seattle natives and friends David and Alex care deeply about the environment and sustainable farming. They had a vision to start an online grocery that sources directly from farms. Using local ingredients as a creative constraint, they started also selling baked goods like breads, cookies, buns, and galettes.

Byen Bakeri

website | delivery radius: nationwide | best for: Scandinavian baked goods

Byen Bakeri is located in north Seattle and makes Scandinavian treats like kringle and cardamom braids. They offer their full menu for Seattle-area delivery through Uber Eats and Postmates, or ship their cookies and a few select Nordic treats nationally.

R&M Dessert Bar

website | delivery radius: Seattle | best for: fancier desserts

R&M can be your Seattle alcohol delivery go-to when you need both a boozy beverage and dessert for a special occasion. They sell small versions of intricate desserts you’d expect to find at one of Seattle’s best fine dining restaurants.

Sugar Bakery

website | delivery radius: Seattle | best for: cookies & cakes

I haven’t had a chance to visit this bakery in Capitol Hill yet, but they serve an extensive menu of cookies, cakes, and pastries available for Seattle dessert delivery.

Pudding delivery

Sticky Treats and Sweets

website | delivery radius: Seattle | best for: Thai-style rice pudding

This Thai-style sticky rice dessert is typically topped with ice cream and crunchy crumbles. Many people in the US are only familiar with sticky rice and mango, but owners Tanner and Erin wanted to expose people to more diverse flavor profiles. Their treats are a twist on something you will often see in the north or northeast of Thailand, when the “ice-cream man” shows up (usually on a motorcycle with a sidecar for the ice-cream and a big umbrella on a pole) and a choice of additions like crushed peanuts, sticky rice, condensed milk, and sesame seeds. You tell him what you want with your ice cream, and he’ll serve it all to you in a cup — or in a hot-dog bun.

Ice cream delivery

Seattle Pops

website | delivery radius: Seattle | best for: ice pops

I remember trying Seattle Pops at the farmers market on a hot summer day. They make colorful pops with interesting flavors, like watermelon basil and banana mango. They’re made with all fruit and no artificial ingredients.

D’Ambrosio Gelato

website | delivery radius: Seattle | best for: pistachio gelato

This is my favorite gelato in Seattle. The texture is super creamy and their pistachio flavor is extremely flavorful. It’s a stop on my self-guided Ballard food tour, and now you can get their Seattle dessert delivery through Grub Hub!

Nutty Squirrel Gelato

website | delivery radius: Seattle | best for: gelato

This is my other favorite gelato spot in Seattle. Their Nutty Squirrel flavor is my favorite, with chocolate and peanuts. Now you can get their pints delivered to you in Seattle.

Sweet Alchemy

website | delivery radius: Seattle | best for: ice cream

This ice cream shop was opened by UW Art graduate Lois Ko. She makes ice cream sourcing organic ingredients mostly within 100 miles of her shop in the U-District. She’s now offering home delivery for free within Seattle by texting her or Instagram DM.

Gluten-free and vegan dessert delivery

Frankie & Jo’s

website | delivery radius: nationwide | best for: ice cream

Frankie & Jo’s is your go-to for plant-based ice cream that’s actually good. It’s founded by two powerhouse women in the Seattle culinary scene: Autumn Martin and Kari Brunson. Autumn was a pastry chef at Canlis, then a chocolatier at Theo, and then founded Hot Cakes. Kari founded Juicebox Cafe, a vegetable-focused restaurant perfect for vegan food in Seattle.

They use house-made sprouted cashew milk and gum-free coconut milk for their base, gluten-free and vegan mix-ins, and natural sugars like dates or maple syrup. I’m big on ice cream texture and am blown away by how they can get such a creamy texture not using dairy.

Nuflours

website | delivery radius: nationwide | best for: gluten and peanut free

Nuflours is a popular bakery for people who experience food allergies. All of their baked goods are gluten and peanut free, plus many are dairy free.

Flying Apron

website | delivery radius: Seattle | best for: gluten and plant based

Flying Apron is another go-to for people looking for gluten and vegan Seattle dessert delivery. They deliver through Grub Hub within the Seattle area.
