Woman overlooking valley on a balcony of a romantic Airbnb in Washington State

I’m always on the hunt for romantic airbnb in Washington state because Dan and I enjoy taking romantic getaways for holidays, birthdays, and our anniversary. Especially since we see each other almost 24/7, the change of scenery does wonders for our mental health and relationship.

So if you are in need of a couples retreat, book a stay at one of these romantic airbnbs in Washington ASAP.

28 Romantic Airbnb in Washington State

Note, other sites tend to be cheaper than Airbnb, so I put alternate booking site options when available to help you find deals. I added the per-night price listed when I wrote this article, but make sure to check both sites before booking for the most up-to-date information.

Halfway between Leavenworth and Chelan, Washington is the tiny historic town of Waterville. It’s not an area you’d serendipitously find yourself in, but it’s worth a visit for a stay at this romantic Airbnb owned by ex-Olympian, Hans. It’s the first rental of many he hopes to create on his large property overlooking sweeping views of the Columbia River.

You’ll be able to experience those views from just about any corner of the house thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows along three of the building’s walls. The space is cozy and intimate, with a comfortable queen-sized bed immediately to your right as you enter the space. That means you’re greeted with views as soon as you wake up each morning.

The finishes feel luxurious throughout the rental thanks to a large walk-in shower, huge soaker tub, and large kitchen island. They’ve thought of everything for the ultimate relaxation, including a yoga mat, cozy blankets, private hot tub, swings, fire pit, and lounge deck furniture.

Earthlight is the perfect location for a romantic getaway thanks to its remoteness. You’ll drive about 15 minutes on a gravel road without a single soul in sight. But don’t worry, the wifi is lightning fast so you can snuggle up at night to watch movies with your loved one.

This spot gets booked out far in advance, so make a reservation ASAP to be able to experience this photographer’s dream!

town: Glacier, WA | 1 bedroom | 1 bathroom | sleeps 2 | ~$300-$350 per night

hot tub in a forest of a winter cabin for rent in Washington state

This photo of wine in the hot tub is a mood, and I want in. The Industrial Treetop Cabin is near the Mt. Baker ski area, immersed in a forest full of trees and ferns. There are windows everywhere, including a window that slides open in the main bedroom to make you feel like you’re among the trees.

There are also reading nooks tucked around the house, a fireplace, king-sized bed, heated floors, and a TV with DVDs. With such luxurious amenities, you’re never going to want to leave!

Eagle’s Nest Treehouse

town: Port Angeles, WA | 2 bedrooms | 1 bathroom | sleeps 6 | ~$325-$425 per night

modern treehouse in Washington state

My jaw dropped when I saw this stunner. The Eagle’s Nest Treehouse sits 20 feet above ground giving you uninterrupted water views. In fact, there’s a large picture window perfect for sitting and watching ships sail by.

Not in it for the views? Why not relax in the hammock suspended inside the loft? You can listen to music from records or the Bose sound system as you sway to sleep.

Or hang in the meadow below the treehouse. Fire up some dinner on the BBQ, open some wine, and relax in the fire-heated hut tub. When you’re done, dry off in the sitting area overlooking the bluff, imagining all the fun you’ll have exploring the Olympic National Park and more of the best Washington coast attractions the next day.

They have the other side of the treehouse, Eagle’s Perch, for rent on VRBO.

Treehouse Place

town: Snohomish, WA | 1 bedroom | 1 bathroom | sleeps 3 | ~$235-$300 per night

soaker tub in a treehouse log cabin

I don’t even really like baths, but the luxury tub inside this unique Airbnb might convert me. You can watch TV from the flatscreen above the fire while your loved one makes you dinner using the wood pellet smoker and grill on the deck just outside (what, a girl can dream!). There are even voice controlled color-changing light bulbs you can use to set the mood.

This treehouse is best for people afraid of heights because it’s no more than a few feet off the ground. It gets its treehouse-like vibes because it’s set into a hill.

Note this property is no longer listed on Airbnb, so I provided Booking.com links.

The Tiny House Village sits within Thousand Trails campground and is in a quiet area of Leavenworth. It’s a perfect home base for visiting all the best Leavenworth restaurants, Leavenworth wineries, and cozy things to do in Leavenworth in winter like checking out Stevens Pass.

There are 5 colorful tiny homes that pop against the woods and snow during winter. I stayed in the bright red one called Rudolf that has a loft with both a comfy queen-sized bed. The cabin is cute as a button with a modern kitchen and bathroom, wifi, TV, and outdoor fire pits. Plus it’s right next to a cross-country skiing trails and perfectly situated for discovering the best restaurants in Leavenworth.

The Bluff House has been featured in a ton of magazine, catalogs, and films. Inside you’ll find romantic interiors and 3 different fireplaces to cozy up in front of. While you may never want to leave the house, it’s perfectly situated for exploring all the best Vashon restaurants and best things to do on Vashon Island, one of my favorite islands off Seattle.

Luna Shores

town: Oak Harbor, WA | 3 bedrooms | 1.5 bathrooms | sleeps 8 | ~$375-$450 per night

waterview romantic home in Washington

Ok, Luna Shores might have way too much space for a couple, but I stayed here with my family and was obsessed with the romantic vibes.

There are two story, wall-to-wall windows in the living room overlooking a private beach. You can enjoy the views from any seat in the house, including a reading nook on the second floor, or from the hot tub on the deck.

I loved how it had a modern kitchen, Juliet balcony from both of the upstairs bedrooms, and a ton of channels on the HDTV. I also loved how it was perfectly situated for exploring all the best Whidbey Island wineries and Whidbey Island restaurants.

Note, this property is no longer listed on Airbnb. I included the VRBO link below.

I almost booked the Bayfront Cottage with my sister to do a virtual yoga retreat. It’s 7 miles from downtown Anacortes and is the perfect jumping off point for exploring things to do on Whidbey Island.

It’s got a cool downtown loft vibe with industrial concrete floors and minimal decor. The floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the beach a few steps away from the outdoor patio and grill. And that plush leather sofa is begging for some movie marathons.

town: Manson, WA | 1 bedroom | 1 bathroom | sleeps 4 | ~$175-$300 per night

Chelan Valley Farms is perhaps my favorite romantic airbnb in Washington state. It’s situated in Manson on my favorite side of Lake Chelan near all the best Lake Chelan wineries and restaurants in Lake Chelan you can’t miss.

The decor feels like something Joanna Gaines from Fixer Upper would have chosen, with bright modern farmhouse vibes. Inside you’ll find a gas fireplace stove, full kitchen, and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in while away.

But the absolute best part is the stunning views of the lake and Chelan Valley from the home that sits on a hilltop farm. Make sure to leave time to relax on the covered porch and take in the views, especially if you’re visiting Lake Chelan in winter.

It features modern architecture with huge windows looking out onto the vineyards and Columbia River. If it gets too bright or want privacy, you can easily put down the automated black-out curtains.

Coho Cabin

town: La Conner, WA | 1 bedroom | 1 bathroom | sleeps 2 | ~$130+ per night

tiny cabin hotel in Washington

woman sitting on dock overlooking water at sunset in Skagit County

The Coho Cabin is probably one of my favorite Washington airbnbs I’ve ever stayed at. It’s a tiny cabin built on a hill with gorgeous landscaping weaving its way down to a private beach. You’ll find a ton of nooks for enjoying wine or a book, such as a platform with cushions on one level, a bistro table on another, Adirondack chairs on yet another level, and a hammock up near the house and the wifi (yes, I encourage watching Netflix together in the hammock!).

It’s located in La Conner, one of the best locations for exploring all the awesome things to do in Skagit County. The downtown area has a bunch of cute shops and some of my favorite restaurants in Skagit Valley. Plus it’s near Chuckanut Drive, one of the best scenic day trips from Seattle.

Ok so this romantic airbnb in Washington state is near where I live and I’m plotting how I can make friends with the owners so I can take advantage of their posh sauna. The Seattle Spa Retreat has a garden oasis with a friggin’ egg chair nestled among plant fronds just begging for someone in a robe to sit in it for hours.

The interiors match that cool, minimalist Scandinavian spa vibe with a lot of white and luxurious bedding. You’ll feel pampered with the heated floors and will love cozying up on the couch for some marathon TV watching. I dream about booking this place come spring break in Seattle for the ultimate staycation.

It has the coolest Palm Springs vibe, with bright colored decor, a bar passthrough outside, and the most luxurious outdoor patio where you’ll find lounge chairs, a fire pit, and soaker tub (which is way better than an outdoor shower in my opinion!).
