This adorable cabin promises Instagram-worthy views and tons of privacy. It’s two-levels and newly renovated with 10 acres of prime lakeside views. It’s easy to access by road, which is perfect since you’re just minutes from downtown.
The chalet also comes with high-speed wifi, a jacuzzi, and a giant chef’s kitchen with tons of natural lighting that’s perfect for stargazing.
Oregon Coast Modern
link to book | Neahkahnie Beach, OR | price: ~$450/nt | bedrooms: 3 | bathrooms: 2 | sleeps: 6
This sleek, modern cabin rests on a hilltop above Manzanita and is surrounded by the Oregon Coast. It’s just a 5-minute walk to Neahkahnie Beach or a 5-minute drive from town. It has a mid-century vibe with three stories, making you feel like you’re perched in a treehouse.
While you’re here, you can take a quick 20-minute drive to check out all there is to do in Cannon Beach.
Snow Pine Retreat
link to book | Crescent, OR | price: ~$173/nt | bedrooms: 3 | bathrooms: 2 | sleeps: 6
The attention to detail put into this cabin is eye-grabbing. With vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, a wood-burning stove, and a sauna, it would be hard to convince me to leave once I set my bags down.
When you stay at Snow Pine you’ll have a wraparound deck to cozy up with a cup of coffee and a good book. The Willamette National Forest surrounds the retreat, and you’re only a 2-ish hour drive from Crater Lake National Park.
Historic Cedarwood Cabin
link to book | Brightwood, OR | price: ~$120/nt | bedrooms: 0 | bathrooms: 1 | sleeps: 4
This adorable cozy cabin looks like it came straight from a fairytale. The enamel woodstove is the focal point, and throughout the cabin are small touches like Pendleton blankets and flannel bedsheets to really amp up the vintage cabin aesthetic.
Staying here gives you the ultimate seclusion while keeping you close to Mt. Hood ski resorts and the Mt. Hood National Forest. You can also go snowshoeing to explore the vast Oregon forest.
Modern Waterfront Luxury
link to book | Whatcom, WA | price: ~$495/nt | bedrooms: 3 | bathrooms: 2 | sleeps: 8
This is one of the most beautiful Pacific Northwest cabins I’ve come across. There’s luxury bedding and towels in every room, a drop-down movie screen, a chef’s kitchen, and a huge walk-in shower with a mythical forest background you’ll have to see to believe. Every room has a gorgeous view, and you’re just a ½ block away from the beach.
New Modern Cabin
link to book | Sudden Valley, WA | price: ~$245/nt | bedrooms: 3 | bathrooms: 2 | sleeps: 6
This artsy cabin is the perfect home base when you’re looking to explore Bellingham. It’s a tri-level cabin with a small wood fireplace, stylish decor, plush beds, and trees engulfing you on all sides. There are multiple trails on the property to stretch your legs, or you can relax on the back porch with a coffee and take in the peekaboo views of Lake Whatcom.
Treehouse Place
link to book | Snohomish, WA | price: ~$300/nt | bedrooms: 1 | bathrooms: 1 | sleeps: 3
This is the perfect romantic getaway if you’re a nature lover since you’re literally in a treehouse totally covered by trees on all sides. It’s even built on stilts to be nicer to the trees. This two-level cabin features a kitchenette, a fireplace, and a big soaking tub all in the same space so you can literally watch Netflix in the tub while your partner makes dinner.
Designer’s Lake View Cottage
link to book | Cinebar, WA | price: ~$399/nt | bedrooms: 5 | bathrooms: 1 | sleeps: 10
This cottage was recently renovated by a five-star interior designer. But you’ll still see the original shiplap and exposed beams dating back to the building’s origins in the 1970s. Today it’s perfect for a few stylish couples looking to vacation in comfort, then hit the slopes at White Pass Ski Resort in the winter, or hike Mount Rainier National Park in the summer.
The Wrigley Tiny House
link to book | Lewis County, WA | price: ~$215/nt | bedrooms: 2 | bathrooms: 1 | sleeps: 3 | pet friendly
This upscale tiny house is just a mile from downtown Packwood, yet it’s totally off-grid in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. It doesn’t even have a proper address, just coordinates showing how to get there. This also means there’s no wifi, but cell service works just fine.
As for the amenities, this place is anything but tiny. It has a king-size loft, pull-out sofa, flatscreen TV, a fully equipped kitchen, and a gorgeous deck. There’s a fire pit and even a soaking tub in the bathroom. Staying here puts you super close to Mt. Rainier National Park, the White Pass Ski Resort, and the Pacific Crest Trail, so it’s one of the best Pacific Northwest cabins for nature lovers.
Boutique Cabin
link to book | Oceanside, WA | price: ~$430/nt | bedrooms: 2 | bathrooms: 2 | sleeps: 4 | pet friendly | hot tub
This boutique cabin is owned by a small company that hand builds and renovates every one of their cabin rentals. This one in particular is one of my favorite Washington coast cabins for its open-concept living room, corn hole station, soaker tub on the patio, hot tub, and easy beach access.
Codfish Cottage
link to book | Clallam County, WA | price: ~$190/nt | bedrooms: 1 | bathrooms: 1 | sleeps: 4 | pet friendly with $50 fee
This rustic cabin is seriously in the middle of nowhere, and I’m here for it. There’s no electricity, just propane powering the fridge, oven, and lights. But don’t worry, there’s a fully operational bathroom and supposedly wifi, though I’d check to confirm.
Staying here gives you an unfettered view of the Canadian Cascades, and it’s the perfect base camp to explore all of the Washington Coast attractions on the Olympic Peninsula. Spots like Neah Bay, Lake Crescent, and Shi Shi Beach are perfect day trips to quickly fill a week here.
Pro tip: December and January have been known to produce King Tides. If there’s extreme weather your trip may need to be altered or rescheduled, so plan ahead.
Madrona Cove Cottage
link to book | Friday Harbor, WA | price: ~$300/nt | bedrooms: 0 | bathrooms: 1 | sleeps: 2
I’ll take any excuse to hop on a ferry and spend the day on San Juan Island, but if you have the chance to escape for a few days, you should stay here. I stayed here once and consider it one of the best Pacific Northwest cabins.
The cabin’s uniquely shaped structure initially caught my eye, but I fell in love with the natural lighting and large yard overlooking the Salish Sea. Staying here also puts you just a 5-minute drive from town, so it’s a perfect home base for exploring the island.
Enchanting Cottage
link to book | Bow, WA | price: ~$140/nt | bedrooms: 1 | bathrooms: 1 | sleeps: 3 | hot tub
I can’t get over the aesthetic of this vintage cottage in the Skagit Valley. It’s discreetly located in the middle of a meadow and has a 100-year-old sink, natural rugs, and tons of outdoor space for catching misty Washington afternoons.
This is a great location since you’re only minutes from the Bay View State Park and the Padilla Bay Trail. It’s also nearby the small boutique towns of Edison and La Conner, two perfect spots for an off-the-beaten-path experience in Skagit County.
Timber Lodge Log Home
link to book | Orcas Island, WA | price: ~$550/nt | bedrooms: 3 | bathrooms: 4.5 | sleeps: 9
This is the largest log cabin on Orcas Island, making it the perfect home base for a couple of families or a big friend group. It’s fully equipped with a 10-person theater room, hot tub, and pool table, all while offering stunning ocean views. As if you need another reason to visit Orcas Island!
The Bali House
link to book | Marion County, OR | price: ~$215/nt | bedrooms: 1 | bathrooms: 1 | sleeps: 2 | hot tub
This cabin is a converted greenhouse located on a historic organic farm outside Silverton, Oregon. It’s one hour from Portland, located in the upper Willamette Valley near some of Oregon’s best wineries, restaurants, and Silver Falls State Park.
While you’ll technically be glamping in Oregon Wine Country, you’ll have a lot of amenities you won’t find elsewhere. There’s a spring-fed cedar soaking tub, a sleeper loft, a well-stocked kitchenette, tons of natural light, and nearby waterfalls and hikes accessible right from your door.
Eagles Perch Treehouse
link to book | Clallam County, WA | price: ~$400/nt | bedrooms: 1 | bathrooms: 1 | sleeps: 3 | pet friendly with a fee | hot tub
This treehouse overlooks the Strait of Juan De Fuca, making it one of the Pacific Northwest cabins with the best views. It’s made of cedar and has a big floor-to-ceiling window that looks straight into a constantly changing landscape of wildlife, boats, and eagles flying past. It connects to a larger treehouse next door, though everything has been designed with maximum privacy in mind.
Luxe Lakeside Cottage
link to book | King County, WA | price: ~$200/nt | bedrooms: 0 | bathrooms: 1 | sleeps: 2
Enjoy epic views of Lake Alice from this spacious studio cottage. It’s just 27 miles east of downtown Seattle, though it’s surprisingly secluded with over 100 feet of private waterfront. Only non-motorized boats are allowed on the lake, so it’s perfect for taking a morning swim, fishing, or playing water sports.
Staying at this cottage puts you near two golf courses, Fall City river tubing, hiking trails, plus tons of cute wineries and restaurants.
Woodland Cabin Retreat
link to book | Whidbey Island, WA | price: ~$150/nt | bedrooms: 1 | bathrooms: 1 | sleeps: 4
This is a true log cabin if I’ve ever seen one. It was built in 1902 as a fishing cabin for its owner and his sons, and the current owners have worked to keep it as close as possible to the original layout. Inside you’ll find a fireplace, clawfoot tub, full kitchen, and a lookalike wood stove that’s actually electric.
The cabin is only an hour from Seattle, though you’ll have to take a short 20-minute ferry ride to get there. Make sure to give yourself enough time to relax, then check out my guide to Whidbey Island.
Bellingham Meadows
link to book | Bellingham, WA | price: ~$200/nt | bedrooms: 1 | bathrooms: 2 | sleeps: 4 | hot tub
This modern cabin was built entirely with wood sourced from the property. It’s tucked away in a private sunlit garden and was designed to provide seamless indoor-outdoor living. It has a covered hot tub, a fully stocked kitchen, radiant floor heating, and is just a stone’s throw from Lake Samish.
JR’s Riverfront Retreat
link to book | Chelan County, WA | price: ~$700/nt | bedrooms: 4 | bathrooms: 3 | sleeps: 10 | hot tub
This massive 4-bedroom log home is perfect for a few families to split. It’s right next to Wenatchee River and comes fully equipped with a well-stocked game room. Kids (or me) can play a few rounds of air hockey, then float down the river or take a dip in the hot tub.
Leavenworth Tiny House Village
link to book | Leavenworth, WA | price: ~$129-145/nt | bedrooms: 1 | bathrooms: 1 | sleeps: varies
The Leavenworth Tiny House Village has some of my favorite Pacific Northwest cabins. I first stayed at them after stumbling on them during a cross-country skiing trip. I immediately fell in love with these Bavarian-themed tiny houses and loved the fact that I could get all the experiences of camping but with a fully-functioning kitchen and bathroom.
There are currently five tiny houses to choose from, each with a slightly different layout and size:
I stayed in Rudolf, but you’ll love whichever one you stay at! They’re the perfect spot to come home to after a day of exploring all the things to do in Leavenworth in winter and nearby Leavenworth hikes.
