I’m always on the hunt for the best Leavenworth cabins because I visit at least twice a year. In February I visit for cross-country skiing with my family of 7 and their dog. Then I come again in fall just with Dan for larch hikes. So needless to say, I’m always looking for someplace to stay that fits a variety of needs.
If you’re not familiar with Leavenworth, it’s a quaint Bavarian-themed town about 2.5 hours east of Seattle in the Cascade Mountains. People flock there to pretend they’re in the Alps instead of the United States, soaking up the cute chalet-style architecture and dazzling lights illuminating the main street.
Leavenworth is the perfect destination for all interests because the bustling downtown area has a bunch of shops, restaurants, wine tasting rooms, and breweries. Those who prefer nature will love the town’s prime proximity to some of Washington’s best hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing trails. Plus it’s only a short drive to Stevens Pass ski resort.
So whether you regularly head over to Leavenworth or are someone visiting for the first time, here are the best cabins in Leavenworth, WA to use as a jumping off point for exploring the area.

This log cabin sits right along a river in Plain, a remote town about 30 minutes north of downtown Leavenworth. People love staying up here for its access to cross-country skiing, Lake Wenatchee State Park, and peace and quiet. However, you may never want to leave this property given its dope outdoor area with life-size chess, horseshoes, a sandbox, hammock, BBQ, basketball, and a fire pit.
Inside you’ll find a modern chef’s kitchen and plenty of space for a group of 6 to spread out. I love the thoughtful touches like luggage racks and box fans, plus amenities like foosball, Xbox, and satellite TV don’t hurt either.
ZayLy Lodge

Ok, this is one of the dopest Leavenworth Airbnbs ever. Yes, it’s expensive, but it’d be perfect for a large group like bachelorette parties because it fits 10 people. There are 4 ensuites at opposite corners of the house so that everyone has some privacy. Plus its close to downtown so you can easily hit up the wineries and breweries.
The property was actually featured in Bellevue Magazine because of its impeccable style. There are a ton of windows and new-age mid century modern vibes. You get stunning views of the Wenatchee River from above, as the house sits on a hill and there’s an expansive deck with an outdoor hot tub perfect for lounging.

Here’s another cabin in Plain. It has a cozy feel thanks to all its warm wood, but there is still a modern kitchen and bathrooms. If you like a more modern chic house, this cabin in Leavenworth is for you. You won’t see any wood walls or log beams, but rather the decor is airy and bright. A lot of cool vacation rentals in Leavenworth have beautiful bones, but more bare styling inside. That’s not a problem with this space! It’s also only 2 miles away from downtown Leavenworth and all its restaurants.
Bearfoot Chalet

I used to dream about owning a log cabin in Colorado. This house in Plain is exactly what I envisioned, with a sharp a-frame shape and unapologetically beautiful logs visible from every nook and cranny of the home.
Outside there are two fire pits, one large one in the yard and a smaller one on the upper deck. You’ll also find a hot tub, playground, and ladder golf for more outdoor adventures. But when it’s time to come inside, there are plenty of games, puzzles, and DVDs to keep you entertained.
Snowgrass Lodge
link to book | bedrooms: 4 | bathrooms: 3.5 | price: ~$770/night | hot tub
Can we all just take a moment of awe for this great room? Its beauty alone is what put it on this list of the best Leavenworth cabins. The fact that it’s a 1.5-mile walk to downtown Leavenworth and has plenty of space for a group of up to 16 doesn’t hurt either. If you’re rolling deep, don’t miss this spot!
Leavenworth Tiny House Village
link to book | bedrooms: 1 | bathrooms: 1 | price: ~$300/night
I first stumbled upon the Tiny House Village when cross country skiing. It’s part of Thousand Trails campground in Plain, which has awesome ski trails come winter. I was skating along and suddenly saw these colorful pops of joy against the white snow. I decided then that they were some of the best Leavenworth cabins, and I was determined to stay in them one day.
That eventually happened when I booked a stay in the red tiny cabin aptly named Rudolf. It had a fully-functioning kitchen, toilet, TV, and wifi, so it’s like glamping without the bugs.
If you’re interested in staying in another colored cabin, here are links to those:

This cabin is right across from Lake Wenatchee State Park, so it’s perfect for groups who want a peaceful setting and access to the outdoors. In fact, you can see the lake right from the large deck. Creekside Lodging
link to book | bedrooms: 4 | bathrooms: 4.5 | price: ~$470-$675/night | hot tub | dog friendly
My nieces love hot tubs, but I always prefer recreational games in a vacation home. This one delivers options in spades: you’ll find a pool table, foosball, shuffleboard, darts, and ping pong (my fave!). There’s also a hot tub, so my whole family would be happy.
Creekside Lodging is near downtown Leavenworth, but it has 2 acres for you and your pets to explore. There’s a fire pit and picnic table for relaxing, but there’s also a volleyball net, horseshoes, and access to biking and horseback riding trails across the street. All in all, this i the perfect spot for people who like to stay active and entertained!

This is a huge property near Lake Wenatchee State Park in Plain. It has a large yard that slopes down toward the water, offering beautiful views and plenty of space to roam. My favorite part is the breathtaking back deck that has a greenhouse feel thanks to its see-through roof and tons of plants. I’d definitely park myself out there to take in the serene surroundings!
