I’ve become obsessed with glamping in Washington state ever since I tried it in Oregon. We stayed at the cutest vintage trailer resort and it got me hooked on finding cool places for that camping-not-camping vibe closer to home.
Since then I’ve stayed at tiny homes and treehouses in Washington, plus saved dozens more trailers, yurts, etc. So if you’re looking to go glamping in Washington state, check out these places for your next trip!

Best Glamping in Washington State
If you’re not familiar with the term “glamping”, it’s a play on merging “glamorous” and “camping” into one word. Essentially it means there are rustic elements as if you’re camping, but with creature comforts like a bed, cleanliness, electricity, and running water. Basically, my kind of camping!
Here are the best Washington glamping spots for when you want to dip your toe into camping without fully committing.
Tiny House Village

I go to Leavenworth at least twice a year on family trips and to update my guide to the best Leavenworth restaurants. One of the best places I’ve found in this Bavarian-themed town about 2.5 hours east of Seattle is the Tiny House Village.
I first discovered them when cross-country skiing with my family. We were on a trail that passed these brightly-colored tiny homes and I announced, “I must stay in one of these.” Luckily I got my wish a few years later when we needed a place to stay after hunting for larches on the best Leavenworth hikes.

I stayed in Rudolf, the aptly named red tiny house. This was one of my first forays into glamping in Washington state and is what ultimately got me hooked. It was super clean, had a normal-functioning bathroom, AC, a full kitchen, electricity, wifi, cable, and a comfy bed. Plus there were fire pits, grills, and Adirondack chairs outside perfect for taking in the beautiful scenery.
The Rolling Huts

The Rolling Huts was another spot I passed while spending winter in Winthrop, which has the largest groom trailed system in North America and therefore the best cross-country skiing in Washington.
These midcentury modern cabins have huge windows overlooking the Methow Valley. They have a lot of creature comforts like a fridge, microwave, dishes/plates, and fireplace, but they’re also a bit more rustic since they don’t have bathrooms.
Instead you can use the normal bathrooms in the barn or use the portable toilet and faucet outside each hut. There are also only sleeping mats on platforms, so this is a good spot for glamping in WA if you want to try your hand at a bit more camping-like ambiance.
Treehouse Place

Treehouse Place is a truly the perfect glamping destination if you need a romantic getaway. The treehouses feel like they’re high in the sky, but they’re actually only a few feet off the ground built into the hill on posts. Each has a kitchen, memory foam mattress, HD TV, and fireplace. This one has a gorgeous soaking tub and two stories that offer incredible views of the forest
The Lodge at SkyCamp

The next time I plan to ski at Stevens Pass I’ll definitely be booking a stay at this charming lodge. It’s a tiny cabin home fit with a wood burning stove, two beds, and a clawfoot tub. There’s also a nature trail, communal fire pits, and hammocks perfect for lounging in the warm summer months.
Glamping Dome at Blue Lake

These glamping domes are discreetly located along Blue Lake. The domes are surprisingly spacious and offer an amazing view of the surrounding valley and pristine blue waters. Inside you’ll find a queen-sized bed, a portable AC, a fridge, and a coffee maker. Note there are shared bathrooms and showers, and guests are warned to be prepared for occasional heavy winds.
Olympic Railway Inn

If you’ve ever wanted to sleep in a private caboose, now is your chance. The Olympic Railway Inn offers 7 rooms, each with a garden view, a coffee maker, a flatscreen TV, and a spacious bathroom. The rooms are named based on their themes, like the Casino Royale that’s gold embellished and includes a blackjack table, or the Grape Escape that’s wine-centric with bottle art and barrel tables.
Cozy Hobbit House

The next time I plan a weekend on Bainbridge Island you better believe I’m booking this adorable hobbit house. It’s hand-built by the property owners and takes cozy to another level. This in-hill cabin is tiny yet it squeezes in a number of amenities like a convertible couch/bed, board games, and an electric fireplace. There’s also a private portable bathroom with a hand-washing station and a fire pit, and you’ll have a private area of the yard for yourself to relax. As if it couldn’t get any better, you’re only minutes away from the best wineries on Bainbridge Island.
Mush Room at SunRay Shire

Owners Kelly and Bonnie Howard built the Mush Room as well as all of the cold water cabins on their property. They were even featured on MTV Cribs, most notably for this adorable mushroom-themed cabin. It’s quite small and perfect for a couple looking to escape into the woods and unplug.
The room itself has a bed that overlooks the pond as well as a small kitchenette. Guests have access to the composting toilet, outdoor shower, and outdoor kitchen. If you need a bigger space, the owners also rent out their Cozy Cabin, which fits three and includes a fireplace.
Straight View Cabin

This picturesque tiny house offers unfettered views of the Straight of Juan De Fuca as well as access to the Olympic National Park from multiple entrances, including Sol Duc, Hurricane Ridge, and the Hoh Rainforest. The house features one queen sized bed, a kitchen, private beach access, and a deck to sip your morning coffee as you look across to the Canadian Cascades.
Rustic Yurt Village

This yurt village features five artisan handcrafted yurts on a spacious 40-acre property nestled in the forest. There are multiple trails for exploring, and the community spaces include a full kitchen, a gym, and a cedar hot tub (note: clothing optional). The yurts are kept simple with only a bed, and while there’s no electricity in the yurts, there are multiple places to charge your phone in the community spaces.
Glamping Bell Tent

If you’re on a romantic getaway and want to feel like the only two people in the world, book your stay at this glamping tent. It offers unobstructed views of the mountains from your very own private bell tent on a rugged mountain side. The property has everything you’ll need for an outdoor experience including a grill, a shower, restrooms, and a wood-burning stove.
Lothlorien Woods

I absolutely love visiting the Columbia River Gorge, and this little number is making me want to plan another trip stat.
Lothlorien Woods has an 18-sided yurt made out of materials harvested from the property. Inside you’ll find a full bathroom, and outside you get a teakwood hot tub on a private deck perfect for viewing the wild turkeys often seen roaming the property. The hot tub is the perfect respite if you decide to do some hiking or skiing at Mt. Hood about an hour away in Oregon.
Hideaway Glamping Yurt

I’ll never pass up an opportunity to visit Bellingham, especially when I can stay in such a picturesque yurt like this one. It’s nestled among Alder and Pine trees making you feel like you’re miles from town, when in reality you’re a short drive to Bellingham’s best bars and restaurants. The yurt is beautifully decorated and includes a wraparound deck, and there’s a private shower and off-grid bathroom that includes a composting toilet and hand pump sink.
Lakeview Bliss Glamping on Soap Lake

Bask in 300 days of sunshine and soak up the sun at this glamping spot located at the Smokiam RV Resort. The glamping tents are surprisingly spacious and offer a number of amenities including a private pool, two spas, and a steam sauna. Of course the highlight of your stay will be dipping your toes in the mineral-rich Soap Lake, dubbed “nature’s spa.”
Luxurious Glamping Tent

Wharfside Bed & Breakfast

No, your eyes aren’t failing: you can stay on a boat! This bed and breakfast on San Juan Island is located in a boat right in Friday Harbor, where you’ll arrive on the ferry. It has two rooms on opposite sides of the boat with private bathrooms and a ton of vintage charm. And since you’re so close to the ferry it’s perfectly located for a quick day trip to the nearby Lopez Island.
Forest House

The Forest House is nestled in the woods on Orcas Island, one of the San Juan Islands about 2.5 hours north of Seattle. it feels as if you’re an extra in Fern Gully as you meander along the bridges connecting different areas of the treehouse.
You’ll find a reading nook and bedroom in a tower, plus a kitchen, living space, and bathroom in the main treehouse. Everything is custom and made with wood, and you’ll find a dope sunken tub that feels fit for a spa. You’d never know you’re glamping in Washington state in this one!

Each van comes with everything you could think of: cooking equipment, spices, fridge, multiple tents, corkscrews, and even your choice of coffee brewing method!
Glamping Retreat

If you need another of many reasons to visit Whidbey Island, this spot to glamp in Washington state has two beautiful safari tents on a huge property with all the makings of a great time. You’ll find yard games, a fire pit, outdoor kitchen, and tiki bar spread throughout a beautiful yard. It’s also near some of the best Whidbey restaurants and best wineries on Whidbey Island, but you may never want to leave!
The tents have posh decor with a queen-sized bed, board games, linens, and plush pillows. And while the tents aren’t outfitted with a bathroom, you’ll find a shabby chic outhouse regularly cleaned to share with the other tent.
